Tastes of Fish............

A friendly mer-couple in deep waters. My most popular EW image, it gets about 350 page hits a week!!

Quite a story behind this pic. A number of people had asked if I would be drawing any more mermaids and, having spent much time skribbling this frolicking pair, I was aware that my previous mermaid backgrounds left a lot to be desired! Wanting a fairly dark, brooding, even gothic atmosphere I set about trying to produce the background and completely 'lost it' LOL. No matter what I tried I could not get it together and was in imminent danger of ruining the whole picture.

If there is one person on this planet that can do the sssssscary or uber-gothic thing to the limit, that would be the famous KD, Kate Dawidziak.

I sent a plea of help to Kate, with the initial idea of her suggesting or creating a BG image I could skribble. When Katy emailed me what she had produced for the background I was stunned!! It was the perfect setting for my playful fish-people and there was no way I was going to tamper with Kate's work.

Sometimes I feel as though I should re-name this piece as 'Something Fishy' by Kate Dawidziak and Me!!
